What is Her Place?

And why do we need it?

With so many charities, welfare systems, hospitals and support groups, what makes Her Place different? While Her Place is a non-profit, and is a charitable entity, our focus is on providing resources with philanthropic focus, understanding the mental and emotional reprieve needed for refocus and healing after circumstantial life altering devastation. We understand that there are times life spirals and there are not cookie cutter solutions that will set life straight again. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Our organization is not welfare. We know that monetary help may be a temporary solution, and often is not the real need. The women that turn to Her Place do not typically fall into a ‘category’ traditional support systems can provide for. We are focused on her individual needs, and helping her find her own road path to stability. 

Her Place was founded to meet the increasing needs of an often overlooked population of women. These are women who have fallen on dehabilitating and overwhelming real-life circumstances, such as hom​elessness, spousal death, jobless, and chronic illness. These women are unable to find relief through traditional resource providers.Her Place brings together the combined gifts, talents and resources from a diverse population of women who share the common vision of giving help while receiving help, while bringing focus to build environmental awareness and stronger community support systems.       ​​​​​​​​​​

We visualize our programs will make progressive impacts in womens’s lives, as well as bring awareness to issues plaguing communities. With our focus on personal responsibility and commitment to provide non-judgemental mental, physical and emotional support, we envision our concepts will have continue to impact women and families around the world. ​​​​​​

Our Mission

Our Mission is to provide resources for personal and professional development where women from all cultural, socio-economical and ethnic backgrounds can benefit by our resource exchange programs during hardship, as well as create strong support systems for women and their families which will enable positive impacts to society as a whole. . Our objective is to let all women know that they are not alone, and we will help them build the road that takes them where they want to be.
